Nominations being accepted for AFP of Greater Cleveland's
2008 Fundraising Executive of the Year
Each year, our Chapter recognizes a colleague who demonstrates
outstanding leadership and a commitment to our profession
with the presentation of the Fundraising Executive of the
Year (FEY) award at our Annual Meeting in December. AFP of
Greater Cleveland is proud of the tradition we have established
to honor our peers who choose to lead by their example and
give of themselves to further our profession and the organization(s)
they serve.
As a member of our Chapter, your input is vital in identifying
the potential recipient of the 2008 Fundraising Executive
of the Year Award. Given that this is our Chapter's
only peer-to-peer award, both the nominator and nominee must
be members of AFP's Greater Cleveland Chapter.
This year, a number of changes have been adopted to encourage
your participation, engage our diverse membership, and ensure
the integrity of the process:
- The Fundraising Executive of the Year will be
determined by a panel of our Chapter's five Past Presidents,
none of whom will submit a nomination of a fellow colleague.
- A
point system related to the selection criteria listed on
the nomination form will be the primary means for selection
to encourage the nomination of professionals from organizations
of all sizes.
- Candidates that have been previously
nominated may be nominated in 2008 if they have not won
the award.
- The committee organizing the annual meeting
will not be involved in the FEY nomination review process.
The selection criteria for the Fundraising Executive of
the Year award is included on the nomination
form (22K PDF). A sufficient amount of lead time is needed
to handle all of the aspects of this important process and
ensure that the winning candidate receives recognition in
November's
Northern Ohio Live feature on philanthropy.
To that end, please submit your nominations
no later than Friday June 13, 2008 by mail, fax, or e-mail
to:
